Job Description Job Description Description: JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the drafting and engineering of highly detailed
shop drawings to be submitted to clients for approval, as well as
given to fabrication for production of monumental quality
architectural millwork, cabinetry, and furniture for luxury
residential environments. Research production requirements and
specifications, as well as new technologies. Creates and manages
project-specific detail book and CAD blocks. Monitors and manages
the project drafting team by reviewing and redlining project
drawings. Works closely with the Project Management team to ensure
schedule and monumental quality are maintained. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Field measurements (i.e., benchmarks, datum lines) Define and
create a detailed book for the assigned work Ability to generate
detailed submittal drawings and to incorporate design changes and
field dimension corrections as needed, and work with project teams.
Ability to manage and utilize information flow from the project
team, both internally and externally Collaborate with other
engineers and draftspersons inside and outside of the organization
Interface with customers and internal project management to ensure
design concepts meet the client’s needs, and drawing releases meet
schedule timelines Interface with the fabrication team to ensure an
accurate understanding of required details and quality control
Provides project management with status updates, correspondence,
and appropriate reporting utilizing the company’s software and
systems. Create material and parts lists Perform shop floor
inspections for accuracy and quality before releasing to Finishing
Post-production sign-offs & updating as-built drawings In-depth
knowledge of custom architectural millwork/cabinetry fabrication,
joinery details, materials (i.e. lumber, veneers, substrates),
cabinet and door hardware, integration of appliances, metal, glass,
mirror, etc. Works with the Project Manager to assist in scheduling
engineers on various WOs. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly
required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel in order to use a
telephone keypad and computer keyboard and mouse. The employee must
be able to remain in a stationary position at a maximum of 50% of
the time. Must frequently be able to move boxes (for shipping)
weighing up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this
job include close vision. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience 4-Year degree in Design or related
subject. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the custom woodworking
industry and knowledge of AWI standards 5 to 7 years of AutoCAD
experience Must possess strong statistical and mathematical
aptitude, as well as a solid understanding of the English language
Language: Ability to read, write and speak English and effectively
present information in one-on-one and small group. Mathematics:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of
measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Computer: Strong proficiency of AutoCAD, Microvellum, Windows-based
applications and the Microsoft Office suite. Reasoning: Ability to
apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with
problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations. Other: Exhibits professionalism of improvement through
enhanced developmental skills, exhibit leadership. Requires the
individual to maintain flexible availability, will work weekends,
and holidays. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Serves as a
role model and sets a positive example for the entire staff in all

adapt to company standards and processes. Fluency of the English
language. Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Other Qualifications Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver
License with a clean driving record in accordance with the
company’s insurance carrier’s standards may be required. Thomas
