Financial ManagerThe Cost Accountant is a member of the Finance
Team and will lead the cost accounting processes. This position
will be responsible for establishing the standard cost for all
parts, working in conjunction with Engineering and Manufacturing to
ensure proper labor and overhead rates for the roll-up of product
costs, and analyzing variances to standard cost adjusting as
necessary in order to maintain accurate records in the system.
Accordingly, they will provide item cost and margin analysis to
support other departments for performance improvement and for
Management decision making.This position is also responsible for
establishing the base price for all products and providing
operational support to the Sales Team on pricing matters. They may
assist with other activities including, but not limited to
Financial Reporting, Budgets, and Inventory Control.Principal
Responsibilities:-- To determine Standard Costing of Production and
Inventory including raw materials, labor and overhead -- To compile
and establish landed cost factor for overseas purchases to derive
at landed cost for standard cost setting in JDE.-- To compile and
establish annual factory rates for product costing.-- To review and
establish Standard Cost for all parts and perform annual inventory
revaluation in order to reflect the latest possible costs and
prices on the company's inventories.-- To work closely with
Engineering to simulate product costing for new products or
existing products in order to finalize product costing for further
use.-- To work closely with Finance Director and Sales Director to
decide on pricing strategy/product margin for existing or new
product, for margin improvement.-- To provide various analysis to
support Management in term of pricing strategy setting and cost
down activities for margin improvement.-- To ensure all cost of
production, production variances and cost of goods sold are
captured timely and accurately in financial accounts to derive at
accurate gross profit margin. -- To ensure the Manufacturing
Accounting module is running smoothly and is processed timely and
accurately.-- To review manufacturing variances and purchase price
variances -- To lead the physical inventory activities to ensure a
complete and accurate stock take is carried out and count variance
is compiled for financial posting.-- To ensure the bookkeeping of
all inventory transactions are in place and maintain the integrity
between the item ledger and the account ledger-- The Company may at
any time, deem necessary, add or amend any of this job
responsibilities.Qualifications:-- Four-year college degree in
Accounting or Finance-- Minimum 2 years of Standard Cost Accounting
experience in a manufacturing environment-- Prior experience
analyzing manufacturing operations, performing month-end cost
accounting close, maintaining cost accounting system and cost
ledger, performing life cycle cost-benefit analyses, and analyzing
unit cost variances.-- Strong technology skills, including
proficiency with Microsoft Office application and enterprise
resource planning systems (JD Edwards preferred).-- Analytical and
problem-solving skills: Can objectively analyze data and problems
and identify workable solutions.-- Communications Skills: Ability
to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel to get
cooperation for solution.-- Customer-centric, proactive and
analytical with strong sense of commitment towards highest
