Job Description:
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital (JDCH) is seeking a pediatric
epileptologist with expertise in epilepsy surgery to join a
comprehensive team of seven child neurologists in the Division of
Pediatric Neurology. A full range of pediatric neurology services
are offered within the JDCH Neuroscience Center. The neuroscience
team is multidisciplinary and includes child neurologists with
expertise in multiple sub-specialties, pediatric neurosurgeons, and
a pediatric neuropsychologist. Candidates should be BE/BC in
neurology with special qualification in pediatric neurology and
BE/BC in epilepsy. A qualified candidate will have training in
presurgical evaluations and surgical planning within a
multidisciplinary epilepsy management team. Clinical duties will
include evaluating and treating complex patients; evaluating and
treating patients in the epilepsy monitoring unit, including those
with intracranial recordings; interpreting and reporting EEGs,
including short and long-term inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory
EEG recordings, as well as EEGs in critically ill patients.
Research initiatives will be fully and actively supported through
the Office of Human Research, though this is not a requirement of
the position. The incoming physician will have the support of a
full complement of pediatric specialists and services. This is a
full-time employed position with the multi-specialty Memorial
Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a

experience. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
