Our client is seeking a Data Scientist in Miami, FL.

Role Description

Requirements:
--- Clear communication skills and fluent in English.
--- Advanced level Python Programming for Data Science and Data Engineering with minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field.
--- Strong background in building solutions using PySpark, Scikit-learn, Plotly/Dash and data scraping packages.
--- Microsoft Azure and Data Bricks experience is a plus.
--- Experience with ChatGPT API is a plus.

Project:
--- Work along side a team consisting of 4 data scientists, a ML engineer and a data engineer.
--- This person is expected to be self-sufficient, however the above-mentioned team will guide the contractor and assist for successful execution.
--- Scrape data from up to 100 PDF documents with several pages to create a regression data set.
--- Perform regression model on the dataset.
--- Combine regression model with naval architecture equations (will be provided by the team) to build marine simulations.
--- Use the team's existing Plotly Dash web application to create a simple front end for the simulation model.
--- Support the team on other projects as needed
