Summary:
The Inventory Manager Responsibilities include managing inventory
levels and accuracy, developing warehousing strategies,
coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and
overseeing the warehouse and inventory teams in their daily
activities.
Expected to collaborate in the design, implementation and
management of inventory and distribution processes for a
fast-growing organization with multiple sites, and remote team
members. Ensure cultivation, packaging and processing departments
are all supplied with required materials on time, and within spec.
Manage a team of Warehouse and Inventory Personnel both in person
and remote.
Manage an inventory control and tracking process in the absence of
an ERP solution in the short term. Ensure periodic physical counts
are performed and documented. Collaborate with Corporate Finance
teams to reconcile monthly closing inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage team of inventory and warehouse specialists assigned to
support separate functional areas of the business.
This includes, recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching the
inventory and warehouse team.
Develop a long-term inventory strategy to ensure current process is
scalable and portable as demand dictates
Design and manage an inventory control process to be utilized by
all warehouse personnel.
In the absence of an ERP system all inventory transactions need to
be documented and inventory accuracy is integral to the success of
this function
Manage the Inventory and Warehousing process to be utilized by all
warehouse/receiving personnel
In the absence of an ERP system, we need to track all POs received,
order picking processes, and ensure accuracy and traceability
Manage daily inventory control activities, supervising staff, and
allocating tasks
Coordinate with inventory control/warehouse personnel to determine
and other departmental leads to manage inventory needs
Understand principles of accounting and finance, and inventory
management
Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds to identify
problems and find solutions.
Other duties may be assigned
Education and/or Experience:
APICS - CSCP, CPIM, CLTD or similar certification preferred
BA Degree or 10 years of inventory, warehouse or supply chain
management in lieu of a degree
5 years leadership experience in a supply chain or comparable role
supervising a staff with focus on inventory, logistics,
sourcing
Experience with sourcing end to end categories of a consumer
product
Strong knowledge of vendor qualification and product spec in a
regulated industry (food, beverage and/or pharma)
Computer Skills:
Strong Excel experience
ERP/MRP experience
